The Company was founded in 2004 specifically marketing organic coffees and teas to local farmers’ markets in and around the Tampa Bay area. As a result, we have developed a following of loyal customers who were amazed at how exceptional our coffees and teas tasted.

Our eco-friendly and sustainability commitment and support of the environment continue to attract customers that have the same values. By focusing on Fair Trade products, giving small co-operative farmers fair prices and supporting other initiatives under these agreements, we have launched our presence in the minds of like-minded customers in marketing our products.

Bay Coffee & Tea - We Think Eco-Friendly

In addition, our sustainability message carries over into our business operation by employing “green technologies” in recycling and the use of eco-friendly materials in our coffee roasting and retail operations. This includes the use of bio-degradeable paper products, eco-friendly cleaning supplies, and soy-based ink in all printed materials, including business cards, stationery, packaging materials, as well as packaging our coffee and tea products in bags made of compostable corn plastic.

Bay Coffee highly supports giving back to the communities in which we are currently located. However, our overall goal is to support various organizations connected to artisan coffee farmers and their families by enhancing their lives as part of the global economy. When yuou purchase our coffees and teas, you are supporting the economic well-being of these coffee and tea-growing families.

We Support Fair Trade Coffee

Coffee is often grown in remote locations around the world where the coffee farmers have little or no access to credit or loans, so middlemen will pay the farmers cash at a fraction of its value, which results in poverty throughout third-world countries. Fair Trade assures that the coffee farmers are being paid a fair amount for their beans, and also connects them directly to importers around the world, giving them sustainability and opportunity for the future.
